Dan Lothrop

In the 1970’s, young men were drafted into the Army. A young man from a small town
decided to go into the Air Force to see the world. Dan Lothrop was a military careerman
and served for 20 years (1971-1991). The Air Force allowed him to learn and put his
electrical technology skills to work for his country. Dan lived in Belgium, Germany, and
four different bases in the United States. He has been an instructor and an air crew
member. His favorite assignment was that of Aircraft Weight and Balance. Dan and his
wife Pat have been married for four years and did a lot of RVing. They lived in their RV
last summer in the Villages. Dan and Pat decided it was time for a home base. They
selected our community because of the friendliness of the people and the size of the
community and of course the weather. Please welcome Dan and Pat Lothrop when you
see them around the Villages.
