Activities Descriptions
Bunco is a parlor game generally played with twelve or more players, divided into groups of four, trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice. A “Bunco” is achieved when a person rolls three-of-a-kind and all three numbers match the round number.
Chair Yoga: Videos with routines focusing on techniques to improve, enhance breathing, balance, stress relief, relaxation and meditation. All exercise will a chair and standing (behind chair). Approximately 40 minutes.
Cornhole is a lawn game in which players take turns throwing 16 ounce bags of corn kernels at a slanted platform with a hole in the top end. Scoring: bag in the hole=3 points, on the board=1 point. Play continues until a team or player reaches or exceeds the score of 21.
Crafting: Sewing, quilting, painting, mosaics, knitting, crocheting, embroidery all kinds of other craft projects are available. Sewing machines and other equipment and supplies are available for use.
EZ Tennis: Lots of fun, easy to learn, and not very strenuous, in the Social Hall
Ezy-Zumba With Stretch & Tone: Latin-Rhythm dance & cardio movement, gentle stretching/toning as well as balance & TheraBand exercises added to the mix. For Seniors, beginners & all levels of expertise.
Horse Racing is a board game played with cards & dice. Come join us while we root for our horse to win, share snacks and have some FUN!
Line Dance Class: Basic Beginner Dances. Come join the fun with us every Friday morning 10 to 11 in the Social Hall.
Mexican train is a game played with number dominoes. The object of the game is for a player to play all the dominoes from their hand onto one or more chains, or "trains", emanating from a central hub or "station". Dominoes may be placed onto the player's train, onto the Mexican train if available, or on the trains of other players under special circumstances. The middle tile counts as the start of a player's multiple tile train.
Pegs and Jokers is a North American race game for four, six or eight players, using playing-cards to move pegs around a board.
Po-Ke-No is a fun game that is a cross between bingo and poker.
Ponytail Canasta is a variation of the card game Canasta. This is not Hand and Foot Canasta (that's another variation) but there are similarities. Villages version of Ponytail Canasta is players playing in partnerships.
Tap Dance 101 Ezy-Beginner: For adult beginner tappers. No experience necessary. A fun, musical low-impact tap technique work-out. Tap techniques will include flaps, shuffles, time-steps, shimshams, cramp-rolls and rhythm variations.
Walking Exercise: Come join us for video walking exercises. You can walk up to three miles, if you choose. We do different steps and arm movements as we walk in place.
