The Woodshop
Membership in the Woodshop is available to all Villages residents. Dues are $25/year, but donations are accepted for daily use. The Woodshop is financially self-sufficient through dues, dinners and breakfasts. The Villages pays only for the electricity.
Residents are welcome to visit the shop. Learning is a primary goal for the shop; monitors are available to teach tool and equipment usage. Instructional videos are also available. The shop supplies the wood and tools. So come in and let us help you with a project from start to finish! You will learn a lot and be proud of your projects.
The shop has 4 lathes to turn wood for pens, letter openers, bowls, etc. Visit our table at the craft shows and see what can be made and ask questions.
Hours: M-F 9-12 if a monitor is available. See contact list on the shop door.
Officers:
President: Mike Smith
Treasurers: Phillip Bird
Secretary: Larry Heischman
Below are slide shows from the woodshop. If you have pictures you would like to share here, please email them.
